I first listened to Josh Garrels when his album, Love & War & The Sea In Between was featured on Noisetrade.  I greatly enjoyed his sound. His voice has depth and his lyrics have meaning with strong Christian themes. A lot of his songs have a melancholy feel, which suite the strong message of his songs. A few songs have a hip-hop feel . While I am not a fan of this, it allows him to reach a broader audience.

He has five of his albums on Noisetrade that are current free for download, with an option to tip, with the tip going to a good cause (supporting the work of world relief in Congo)  And a reminder, music is a true art, give money to the artist.
