The year began with my boyfriend’s five day journey from Ohio to Seattle. A wonderful thing to start off the year. Our relationship blossomed Spring of 2011, and stays strong to this day. Like all things in life, there are ups and downs, but I wouldn’t trade in one memory I’ve had with him.
What will the new year hold? Only time will tell. I look forward to my everyday surroundings here in Seattle. Not sure I can say I have goals, but working towards a consistent mindset. A mindset of a more slow paced lifestyle. A mindset of gratefulness for things in my life. A mindset of learn and apply.
Certain activities I plan to pursue? Well, I just purchased a sewing machine. I have attempted sewing in the past, but never made the time to read up on the subject matter, nor the practice of the application of sewing. Projects will include accessory and clothing items and home items. I’m excited to add this skill to my tool box.
A new year allows for us as humans to press the reset button, to analyze what we’ve done in the past year and to look at how we can improve upon that. I can only hope that I will continue to be led by God, day by day, hour by hour, moment by moment.
