Last weekend my boyfriend and I planned a trip to the Washington Park Arboretum. It was a first trip there for both of us. It’s a short bus trip from where I live, Capitol Hill. We had our lunch packed in our red and white Coleman lunch pail, which included . We sat on a bench at Foster Island, watching the boasts sail by, drinking our homemade mimosas. We got lost within the park. A highlight from the afternoon was wondering beneath the bridge. The Japanese garden is located within the confines of Washington Park Arboretum. While we didn’t visit during our trip, it is a must see on our next trip there. I will follow up on this post, expanding on the Washington Park Arboretum. Look out for this post, come Spring 2013.
